About Me

CURRENT MISSION

smell hear feel see touch discover experience live; figure out what the next years will bring and how i can make the best out of it

ABOUT ME
parts of the puzzle:
i life in leipzig (also called hypezig due to the fast gentrification happening to this so called little-sister-of berlin) and study in my sixth year at the art school painting. i love and hate that stuff at the same time; art being incredible and really important keeping up a sense for nonsense in this neoliberal world but artmarket and most of it connected to it being nasty. so i'm still searching for my way to deal with that. but i love being on the road with my sketchbook far away from all that.
when i'm in leipzig i work in a leftist bookstore (second love) which makes no money, work for money as well, go to concerts and technoparties (music third love... well actually first)
punk is still important to me as well as leftist politics and diy but in my heart i'm a hippie. maybe call it dreamer. and just started yoga, hehe.
so living in a city is nice but i'm ready to leave for the countryside, watch things grow, reduce input, enjoy nature. a tree being the most perfect peace of art.
travelling reminds me of the magic and the flow that makes live awesome.

PHILOSOPHY

life is still beautiful.

Music, Movies, and Books

i love too much of them to list all here here because i couldn't imagine live without neither music nor books.
but it often gives a good impression of a person so i try to give examples at least.

books: from kafka to jonathan franzen, from proust to haruki murakami, from schiller to ian mcewan, from milan kundera to max frisch. at the moment i try to read through the great literature of 20th century.

music. ok. i'll just write down a few bands which on my mp3-player right now so i don't have to think about which i like best.
american football, some german punkbands, animal collective, antelope, at the drive-in, black flag, bonny prince billy, bright eyes, cap'n jazz, cursive, die!die!die!, dinosaur jr., drive like jehu, ea 80, elliot smith, funeral diner, future islands, gang of four, iron &wine, lali puna, les savy fav, make believe, matt and kim, meneguar, milemarker, minor threat, minute man, mission of burma, modest mouse, mogwai, nation of ulysses, new order, north of america, orchid, placebo, polite sleeper, q and not u, rites of spring, saetia, sonic youth, the blood brothers, the buzzcocks, the cure, the notwist, the pixies, the shins, the smiths, the van pelt, the wipers, tocotronic, trentemoller, vampire weekend, why?, wire, woods.

films: i like films which are intelligent, aesthetic, bizarre, perhaps black-and-white, not made by hollywood and not of the genre "romantic comedy".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

live.

Teach, Learn, Share

i teach you how to draw whatever you want if you cut my hair.
or i make a portrait of you and you teach me how to surf.
you improve my english and i tell you german swearwords.
you show me the best locations, bars or shows around and i'll make you the best potato-soup ever.
something like that.
