About Me

I think I prefer to let the others make their own idea.

But if I have to say something, I like to talk, watch stuff, I usually overthink, tend to make bad jokes, sing, travel and who knows.

The rest is something that's constantly changing, evolving. As I presume happens with almost everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I like the idea of sharing, and meeting new people. Also because I recently started traveling so I now how useful could be a friendly person in a new place.

And because is an amazing thing to build relations across the world.

Interests

I like history and stories, to talk and hear about news, politics, what's going on in the world, and learn about different cultures.

Also I like to share the simple things of life, like movies, walks, music.

But, above all, I really like the feeling of know that you are helping someone and at the same time you are having a good time. That seems a perfect deal for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Uff. Complicated, I'm kind of an eclectic guy

In Movies I like classic ones, like Chaplin's, Buster Keaton, Akira Kurosawa (Roshomon, Yojimbo, 7 Samurais, etc), but also recent ones like Birdman, The Avengers, the Batman's of Nolan (and the classic ones too). And others that I don't now how to qualify like Chinatown, Apocalypsis Now, Shawshank Redemption, Quentin Tarantino movies.. and I don't now. I really like movies. But also I always (usually) forget them. So far, as a personal challenge, I'm, trying to watch the best 250 according IMDB.

About Music, well.. is kind of similar. Rock, Punk, Grunge, Metal, Latin American Folk, Country, Indie, Garage, Tango, Brit Pop, Trip Hop, Classical, Bossa Nova, Trova Cubana, Jazz, Soul, some R&B, some Hip Hop, some Funk. Etc.

And Books, the last one I read was Detectives Salvajes de Roberto Bolaño, an amazing Chilean writer. I like authors like Bukowski, Carver, Pahlaniuk, Camus, Borges, Cortazar, but also some fantasy, like Tolkien. I accept any good recommendation, but to be honest, lately I'm more into movies or series than books. But is just a phase.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To live?

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn (as I said before) about different cultures, politic, philosophy, science. I'm really curious, and open to new information, and perspectives.

Teach.. well, as much as I know. Maybe some spanish, or random facts, that probably will be useless, but funny.

And share, well, time. A dash of life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes, histories, a laugh, some dancing and singing (specially in karaokes), and a nice conversation.

By the way, I'm not a really awesome guy with a lot of skills, I'm just a (not so) normal person, making the trip of his life, just hoping to have a nice time.
