Mostly sci-fi and fantasy books- "Dune" series, "Song of Ice and Fire" series, "Ender's Game" series. I am currently trying to finish "Cryptonomicon"

When I travel, the life of the typical middle class person in the place I am in interests me more than tourist spots. I want to know what they eat, what they do, and the typical living conditions and practices.
