Hi Guys, I am Giovanni 26 years old. I am Italian and I come from Milan. I Have been living in London for the last 4 years. I am currently studying Events Management at University of Greenwich. My dream is to organise music events all around the world!!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because one of my dearest friend talked to me about it.
He told me that he had an amazing experience. In fact, he had the chance to meet locals and to really experience the city that he was visiting. Moreover, he stayed in contact with his host and now they are good friend. Shortly, the host will come to visit us in London. I think is a great opportunity to meet new people and make good friend, enjoying your experience as a local. Therefore I would like to try it and see how it goes.

Interests

I love any kind of music from classical/jazz to eletronic-house music. I think music is one of that thing that does not have any barriers. I am definitely believe that music connects people. In fact, one of my project at university is to stage an event in London to raise money for dementia UK (Alzheimer). After I watched a documentary on Netflix (Inside Alive, recommended), where researchers found out that, the only thing that make, a person affected by Alzheimer remember, is only music.
Moreover, I have been in many music events and festival events all over Europe!
I like hanging out with my friends, having a nice dinner out or a nice cocktail. I love eating any kind of food and taste new local things. I think is very important eating healthy but, I have to say that, I like "fat" food either! I am a bartender, thus I very enjoy taste locals wines or cocktails. I love skiing in winter and in general climb mountains. Instead, in summer I love the beach and the sun. I like going for a run and do exercise to keep me fit. I do so three times a week. I watch films all the time, I just love it! Moreover, I try to read as many books as I can, because a book always contains an interesting story!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like any kind of music!!!

I have many favourite movies: American Beauty, Brave Hearth, The Godfather, The Seven Samurai, Inception, Shuttle Island and I could go on and on...!!!

My favourite book so far is a translation of a ancient latin book:"De viris illustribus ". Translate in Italian is:" Le vite dei massimi condottieri". This book contains the story of the Roman' and Greek' leaders:Temistocle, Aristide, Pausania, Cimone, Lisandro, Alcibiade, Trasibulo, Conone, Dione, Ificrate, Cabria, Timoteo, Datame, Epaminonda, Pelopida, Agesilao, Eumene, Focione, Timoleonte, Alessandro Magno, Amilcare Barca, Annibale, Catone and Attico.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As a University Events management student I have participated to many charity events as a volunteer. Every time has been a great experience. I think it is very important helping unfortunate people, because with a simple action you are giving love to two people, you and the person you have in front of you!!
