I realized that the best way to travel is to meet locals. If you go to Florence as a tourist you may buy Cannoli (a dessert) which are not typical of Florence at all, but if you know a local you'll know that in Loggia del Mercato Nuovo there are father and son inside a van selling Lampredotto sandwich, which is actually a typical food of Florence.
Moreover the more people and cultures you know, the more you realize that we are different but basically the same. You learn to respect people and diversities.

Interessen

Walking, running, hiking (possibly barefoot) are my main interest. Sorry is not true ... I love to dance folk music, mainly Italian and French: I am really in love with Mazurka. I also love West Coast Swing and Contact Improvisation which I learnt from my last trip in Vancouver
On the other side I really love to eat all kind of food, particularly if it is something that I never ate before. On the top of my you-have-to-try-this food list there are insects!
I like to plant seeds, I began recently, but I have an avocado tree, some passion fruits plants, tamarind, dates palm, annonas and hope there will be more in the future.

The music I like is too much and too different. I don't even know where to start.
I am not really into books but recently I've read "Black Elk Speaks" and I love it.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I've been in a 4 hours sweating lodge ceremony of First Nation people. Ten names have been given, the ceremony was very long and hard on my body, but the pain and the difficulties gave me a neat insight in my personality.

In the North of Vancouver there are the Garibaldi lakes. It was my favourite hike ever. I really suggest to visit British Columbia at least one time in your life :)

Or running downhill from Etna volcano. The hill was sandy so no risk of harming. The run was amazing.
