ABOUT ME

I never know what to write on these things, and as I am currently sitting in an betting shop which mascquerades as an internet cafe listening to the screams of an Italian football game, I shall keep it "short."

I, am not short. I am not short in height (as EVERYONE n Italy tells me) nor on stories, nor in friendship, love or laughter. I love my God, my family my friendships, red wine, dancing on tables, through streets and reading books, in that order. I love Cosenza (although few people here seem to) and although I cannot offer a couch to surf on, owing to the slight overspill in my flat, but I am very good with tea and wine, and I could probably make conversation with a wall, and often do (I teach small children every day!!!)I love life. Very much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

If by couch surfing experience you mean official with-the-website-with-the-name experience then I must admit, nil. If you mean, showing up at the house of people you vaguely know in any corner of the world and proving yourself to be a good guest, lots.

I lived in London for a year, and much to my flat-mate's disgust thereby hosted all of Scotland when they were "passing through," on their way to New Zealand, or Bournemouth. I also travelled a lot and have shown up on doorsteps and in villages with little more than an e-mail and a prayer to my name. These experiences have been good and without exception, every offer of kindness from me has been returned, onward and upward!!!

If you come to Cosenza, look up!!! If you look down you will see more rubbish and potholes than you might like, but if you look up you'll see the mountains, and they're pretty special!! Maybe that should be my philosophy in life.....
