About Me

I live in Lisbon and I would be happy to build some durable and genuine friendships here, I like meeting up with travellers, but it would be even nicer if someone wasn't just passing by.

I'm originally from Rome and I've be living in Lisbon since March 2023, while working as veterinarian in England. It sounds like a bit of a messy life, but it's not that bad😅

I enjoy exploring simple and genuine small restaurants where usually locals go, or going to cool but unpretentious bars, or music events for a night out.
I like cinema, Asian movies, especially Chinese, are amongst my favourites (Lou Ye, Zhang Yimou, Wang Xiaoshuai, Jiang Wen, Cai Shangjun, Wong Kar Wai..)
One thing I love is also cooking, and if you're good at it too, I would be happy to learn new recipes from you.
I also would like to find people to go hiking from time to time, and foraging mushrooms with.
I danced salsa for 1 year, and then stopped for lack of time, so I'm still a beginner but I wasn't too bad, and I'd like to find someone to go back to dance too.

I get on well with easygoing, spontaneous and pragmatic people, I like when someone has their points of view and doesn't beat too much around the bush to express it, but at the same time being respectful and open to understand the others' points of view (if acceptable of course).
If you're a bit "cynical" and dark humoured, we'll probably get along, as long as you have a kind soul (which doesn't always coincide with being formally kind). I don't love social media and usually I struggle to enjoy my time with people who are too much into it.

Please read the house section if you're sending a request, and when sending it, start the message with Free 🇵🇸, if you won't,there will be no reply to your request. I Just want to skim off undesired guests and to know that you have read the profile; if you're a Zionist (anti-zionist Jews are more than welcome🙂), or simply someone who doesn't acknowledge the atrocities and perversion of those individuals, don't even try to get in touch. My house is under heavy refurbishment at the moment, so It's hard for me to host anyone.

As a general rule, I prefer short term notice requests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Either to know interesting people during my trips, or their trips, and, now that I'm settling in Portugal, to try to build up some significant and hopefully steady connections, or at least find some good company
