Easygoing guy that travels a lot and appreciates meeting new people!

I am really into politics, activism, art and philosophy..

I am always searching for new places to visit and always keen on socializing with people from all paths of life..

I believe that there are multiple ways of using CS, be it as a way to socialize, to explore new places through the eyes of locals or even being able to travel while you have no means for a hotel..

None of these ways is better or worse than the others.. They just appeal to different people and it is fine to want to interact with specific kind of travelers as long as you don't think you have the one true way of couchsurfing..

Where I draw my personal line is when people abuse their position of "power" (offering someone a bed) in whatever way.. Be it romantic/sexual or monetizing/touristic..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

People like to say that couchsurfing should not be treated as a cheap hotel and partly I agree.. However for me one of the main reasons I joined couchsurfing was to be able to travel in an affordable way cause otherwise I would not have been able to. So many people have helped me in this process and I like to help others back.. With that said couchsurfing is a place where you do make lasting friendships and have experiences that stay with you.

In today's society where everything is expensive and you need to pay for everything, I find it very important to help others and be helped by others to travel and experience different places and cultures.. This is an act of solidarity and not charity..
