About Me

I was actually born in Montevideo, UY but lived in Rome, NYC, Chicago, Malaysia, Australia.

Studied Political Science and Environmental Studies.

I've played guitar in mildly successful local Chicago bands. If the trip is longer than 3 days I have to travel with my acoustic guitar.
I love SCUBA and camping/hiking/kayaking and anything water and dirt.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: As a musician I can talk, and have talked, music all day. The Grateful Dead, Tame Impala, Kurt Vile, Explosions in the Sky, Steely Dan, Animal Collective, Modest Mouse, Beatles, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, Blackstar, Tycho, Blood Orange, Talking Heads, MGMT, Flaming Lips, Bob Dylan, etc. you get the jist hehe.

MOVIES: I'm not a huge fan of movies, but The Shining is my all time favorite movie. Get Out was amazing. I'm not sure if documentaries count but Chasing Coral was incredible.

BOOKS: Ishmael (recommend to everyone), Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Fifth Sacred Thing, anything Stephen King, but specifically IT, Under The Dome, 11/22/63, and Pet Sematary. The Malcom X and Miles Davis autobiographies were also incredible. A few books on environmental teaching techniques and natural navigation I cannot recall at the moment. The book that got me hooked on reading? Of Mice & Men

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a 3 month internship where I camped every week as a campsite caretaker and did SCUBA all day for invasive species in rural New Hampshire, USA. Real fun times.

Teach, Learn, Share

To care about nature one must first love it.
This is the first and most important goal that often goes left by the wayside.

Oh, and most of humanity is in a state of PTSD
