About Me

Hi, I'm Giovana!

I was born and raised in the south of Brazil but I'm currently doing an exchange at France. Of course, I'm enjoying this opportunity to travel throughout Europe whenever I can :)

Quite of a nerd (I study civil engineering, love maths and stuff), but I'm really open-minded and just love hearing about people's world visions. I'm quite spontaneous as well, it's very easy to convince me of doing basically anything that seems fun... it could be hiking, doing bungee jumping or even just going out when I should be home studying.

I'm new in this experience, but honestly... don't know why I've never done it. I'm quite excited to doing it :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet local people and get to know more about their country, but more importantly about the experiences they had.

Since I don't have a fixed residence yet (still an university student, right?) I'm not able to offer a couch, but I'll sure do when I can!

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually listen to folk or indie music, but when I go out I like to dance, so it can come down to some techno or even some brazilian funk (it really depends on my mood).

As to movies, I've been a cinema-lover for a long time, but now I'm more of a series-lover... I watch basically everything, I'm not picky at all.

Regarding books, I like pretty much all classic writers, but my favorite author of all times is definitely Gabriel García Marquez!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn a bit more about bein vegetarian/vegan, since I just became a vegetarian myself! I'm also not the best cooker of all times, so I'd accept any tips on it :D I'm quite fascinated about different cultures and languages as well... if we start talking about it I could go on for hours.

I can share all my trips' experiences, since I've been travelling around since I was ten years old :) Also anything based on my world views and the brazilian culture!
