About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Change myself to change the world.

ABOUT ME

My dream is to embrace the world. Wanderlust describes my feeling. I want to see, feel, prove, experience everything that this world can give me. I love to see that there are many different ways of living and that people have such different perspective of seeing life. Sometimes it is sad, but it always makes me realize that the joy is in the small moments and simplest things in life. There are so many people who have so less material possessions, but share incredible light and energy. Travelling also makes me see the importance of living in the present moment. Nothing is forever and past and future are just illusions. Now that I am living in India, I am very interested on spirituality because I believe this is the way of finding happiness and inner peace.

PHILOSOPHY

"Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."

"Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy to learn new people and new cultures. So, after hearing many good things about coachsurfing from my friends who already did it, I decided to start it. I don't like to be a tourist, I prefer to be a traveler :) That's why having contact with locals always give me a lot of more new and interesting experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Officially, I surfed 2 times (one in Germany and other one in England) and at both times it was amazing!! I had opportunity to learn very interesting new people, who made me feel at home. In India, I also couch surfed, through my friends profile, but it was equally amazing. CS never disappoints me. I always get surprised of how many different people I can get to know.

I also had some experiences similar to CS before.
In 2008 I was an exchange student in Germany and I lived there for 1 year by 2 Hostfamilys.
It's kind of similar to Couchsurfing because people didn't get any money from me, they only opened their home for the pleasure of this amazing experience.
In France, I stayed for some weeks by my sister's hostfamily, which was also amazing because I had closer contact to the french culture and they couldn't speak english, so our communication was very funny. It's incredible to see how people, even if they speake different languanges and have different cultures, are always people. We're all the same.
I also had an exchange student from Austria living by me and my family in Brazil. We loved the time we had together and now I'm sure I have another part of my family in another country in Europe.

Interests

I love music and dancing.
I'm always interested on learning new people and new cultures. I think the fact of having new perspectives about the same things makes you a better person.
It's something very healthy, in my opinion, and it's incredible how we can always learn new stuff. I also love to learn about culture by trying their typical food, its a delicious way to learn about a country.

Music, Movies, and Books

Kind of international music that I like : Angus and Julia Stone, The XX, Phoenix, Soja, Nirvana, Bob Marley, The Beautiful Girls, Krishna Das. Brazilian music: Criolo, Tim Maia, Cazuza, Rael, Charlie Brown Jr, Legiao Urbana.
I am totally crazy about music and I have soundtracks for many special moments :D

One of my favorite books is "One day". What a beautiful story, just loved it and cried like a baby in the end haha

My favourite movies are 500 days of Summer and Candy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I did was rafting in the Neretva River in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The water was 10 degrees because it's ice water but the weather temperature was 35. So crazy and the nature was something unbelievable. Everything so imense... I think having closer contact to the nature is like having closer contact to yourself. At this experience I also had the opportunity to be close to people who lived during war time, so I learned a lot from it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some unusual opinions about usual stuff, and I always like to share my point of view. Sometimes, I meet crazy people that thinks the same as I.
I'm always up to learn something new. Particularly, history and arts interests me very much.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook brigadeiro, which is the best Brazilian sweet ever. I also love to share stories about traveling and adventures, specially the weirdest ones because they are always so funny!!!
