I was raised in Brazil and I am now currently living in the United States in order to seek a higher education. At this point, I do not know what I want to do in regards of a career. I have attended college ever since I was 16 and already acquired an Associate's degree in Science. All I know is that my intention is to help people, and acquiring this degree directs me towards the medical field due to the vast majority of fields offered within the field. Until I decide that this is the field in which I want to go in, or any other field for that manner, I want to do whatever I am able to provide help and find a purpose for my future. Being able to travel and help people as much as I can and getting submerged by other cultures and values gives me a reason to keep pursuing my goal of finding a purpose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, traveling is not only the ability to go and get to know another place, I believe it is more than that. I believe that traveling is the to desire to venture and get submerged into a culture in which will be now a part of your own culture. I am Couchsurfing because being a part of someone's life from a different culture by being a part of the their day-to-day lives is incredible and it is a reality. Sure, going to the touristic parts of a country is fun, but is not the reality. It is an illusion. I do not want to be deluded. And this is why I am on Couchsurfing, I want to be a part of how different people's lives actually are, and what is better than having someone opening their doors and making you feel welcomed in a place where you do not belong.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a very diverse music taste, it all depends in my mood and the environment I am submerged in.
Personally, I do not a favorite favorite movie but I can name a few of my favorite sequels, such as Harry Potter and Star Wars.
When I read, I like to focus my reading in things more factual such as the study of a disease or a the development of art and religion around the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Choosing one amazing thing I've done could be simple if the question was narrowed down to a more specific subject. Well, narrowing down different things in my head, I would say that playing semi-professional soccer in Brazil was pretty amazing since I got to play and meet many soccer stars like Neymar, Lucas, Ronaldo, Kaka, Zico, Cafu and a couple of other current and former professional players.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am able to provide a peaceful stay with the sharing with my knowledge. I was raised in a culture, Brazilian, in which we are very friendly and talkative, so if the hosts are willing to have conversations and go to different places with me they would be strongly welcome. I am a very adaptable and respectful and I can adapt to the host's desires and standards. If requested by the host I am very happy to go to the local market and share some of the different culinary styles I know by preparing a meal. But most importantly, I will able to share my gratitude towards their will of welcoming me into their homes.
