ABOUT ME

Hey there!

My name is Julija, originally I am from not-so-large-but-beautiful Latvian town Daugavpils, recently moved to Paris for a new chapter of my life.

Briefly about me: traveler, musician (kinda), searching for myself in this crazy-crazy world. Have been an EVS-volunteer in the Netherlands, hitch-hiked all around Europe, did my Erasmus in the best city in the world - Lyon, fell in love with France, met all kinds of people from all over the world and enjoyed all of this a lot.

I'm one of those, who believes, that our planet is full of great, unusual and interesting people, so don't let me doubt this! (I hope, I won't let you doubt it either ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CouchSurfing is one of the most amazing things I've ever discovered, seriously. It all started with me meeting some travellers and showing them around in my hometown Daugavpils in 2011. Then, thanks to CS, I got to know and made contacts with some really nice and cool people, who became good friends of mine afterwards. And when in the beginning of 2013 I went to volunteer in the Neds, I already knew that CS will be my best helper and mate... and so it was: everywhere I travelled (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Cologne, Brussels, Ghent, Antwerpen, Paris...) I found amazing hosts and every travelling experience was unique. So yeah, I am definetely going to continue to explore CS world :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have flown in Aerodium vertical wind tunnel on my 18th Birthday! That was SOMETHING to remember) Something more? Well, as a flutist I'm busking quite often in different places and every time it's an adventure=)
