Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Love it all. My favorite artist of all time is Joni Mitchell (she is my religion!), but I'll listen to anything except for twangy country.
Movies: I'll watch just about anything. I love the nerdy trilogies (Lord of the Rings, old Star Wars, The Matrix), old Errol Flynn movies, Epic Battle movies (like Braveheart), Psychological Thrillers, Dramas, Comedies, Martial Arts flicks. Really anything except horror.
Books: Countless! "Rubyfruit Jungle" by Rita Mae Brown, "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, "Animal Farm" and "1984" by George Orwell, the "Redwall" series by Brian Jacques, the "His Dark Materials" trilogy by Philip Pullman, "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky, "Illusions" by Richard Bach, "Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe" by Fannie Flagg, all of the "Frog and Toad" books by Arnold Lobel, "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll (along with his short stories and poems), "The Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff, Agatha Christie's numerous mystery novels, "Living is Forever" by J. Edwin Carter, "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein (even though I cry every time I read it), "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen, and many many many more.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yeah, I know a few things! Ask me about journalism and the media, wilderness survival skills, martial arts, and various political/religious/worldly issues. I love philosophizing with anyone open-minded and passionate!
