*Jan 9th - London* ENGLAND
It makes me happy to see the travel spirit and camaraderie are still strong here, is like a big El Camino of the world.
I’m pleased to say that after doing a 1-year trip through Europe and Asia, hosting many people in Brazil and Paraguay, the way I interact with traveling and friends changed and in the perfect words: grew.
One year before the pandemic, I traveled with my mom to California and I met the love of my life. We are now a beautiful family with a one year and a half baby, called Adrian.
I’m eager to meet other families around the world share our different lifestyles and learn from each other. Who would say that life is eternal learning? Sometimes it’s hard but it’s a beautiful journey for me and learning makes me alive.
We are doing a trip to Europe 2023-2024 and we will stop in 3 countries. I’m looking forward to meeting wonderful people and making this trip a remarkable experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
- This can be a long list, but I heard about Couchsurfing when I was 18 years old. I used to be amazed by the travelers with big backpacks, it just felt like they had so many stories and amazing plans to visit remote lands.
- I connected with the first CSs in the United States, Brazil, and Paraguay. In Sao Paulo, we would have big meetings with people from so many places and go to so many areas, that I would learn amazing stories from them and get excited about my travel plans. I met many people from Berlin in Sao Paulo, it seems these were sister cities due to graffiti and other arts.
- Later I did one year of traveling, my headquarters was in Berlin - Germany, and I visited at least 30 countries.
- I lived in Paraguay too and this special country is in the heart of South America, there I could host many people and it's interesting since it's a less tourist country, that people that have a large on the road trip, will stop there and again, share their experiences. Paraguay, though is a country with a strong first-native connection, so there is a lot to learn there and travelers are amazed by the experiences from that area.
- I created a startup about traveling and having great experiences since this was something I enjoyed a lot.
- I met who is my husband now, I was going to meet a CS friend and she was on a road trip with other friends and my partner so I could say part of our story is influenced by Couchsurfing.
- I moved to another country and we had a baby, we want to continue traveling and show our son, that there are amazing cultures around the world. It's going to be open-minded and learning about languages and lifestyles, just makes you more humble and the way to see life and live is just more easy and understandable.
- Couchsurfing is a lot about parties, but also about sharing. I believe there is no age limit for traveling, I connected with people from all sorts of ages on my past trips. I'm excited to meet people who want to meet my family, who are ok that I'm traveling with a baby, and who would like to tell their stories to us. Families will be amazing to meet too. I'm looking forward to this next journey in our lives, and I hope you share that path of happiness and joy with us.
