About Me

Curious, spirited, (sometimes) tolerant to humankind and totally unable to write a brief description of myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met some amazing people here previously, so I was hoping to meet some more :)

Interests

Staring at the night sky in the middle of nowhere.
One day I want to start my own garden of medicinal herbs so that people will come knocking at my door asking for my natural remedies as if I were a Druid from ancient Scotland.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Of Monsters and Men, Eddie Vedder, Gorillaz, Alt-J, Ólafur Arnalds, Mumford and Sons and maaaaany more! Give me a fiddle and a banjo and I'll go insane.

Movies: Into the wild, The secret life of Walter Mitty, Across the universe (Jim Sturgess, if you're reading this, MARRY ME) – my top 3

Books: On the road, The Grimms' fairy tales (any kind of fairy tales actually, the more tragic the better), Walden - life in the woods, Under the skin, plus the other 500 piled up on my bedside table which I either can't remember or am too lazy to list.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach and share about my home country's tradition, culture and language, and about anything I've learnt in my life - if you want to know what to do in case you encounter a bear in the forest, you've found your person.

I'd love to learn about other cultures' myths and beliefs and to see through the eyes of a local what simple tourists can't see.
Also, I want to learn as many bad words in different languages as my brain can possibly take in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I can't share my couch for the simple reason that I own none 'cause I'm almost a nomad myself - being a student I'm poor af -, all i can share is a big smile, lots of fun and stories from all around the world :)
Plus, my carbonara is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, genuinely the best in the world. I'm very modest.
