About Me
Hi there! I'm Giulia, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Turin, Italy.
I finished my bachelor degree in Languages for Translation and Cultural Mediation in November 2017 and I'm currently doing a European Volunteering Service in Salzburg.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always loved traveling and I've grown especially fond of Workaway and Couchsurfing as they are wonderful ways to get in touch with locals while travelling, learning more about the world and about ourselves.
Let's make this Earth a more welcoming place! :)

Theatrical acting, biking, hiking and spending time in nature.
I’m a self taught cook and always love to experiment in the kitchen. Mainly vegan/vegetarian dishes.
I'm also very into board games and role playing (mainly D&D and Call of Cthulhu, but the list continues and it’s loooong)

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a very wide range of music genres (too many to list) and will dance pretty much to anything!
I love movies from Guillermo delToro and Polanski; I enjoy Victorian and post modern novels or anything from Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, although my favorite remains King Rat from China Mieville.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to choose!
Each one of my journeys so far brought me a number of unique experiences.
In 2015 I was given the chance to be the Italian Delegation Leader in an international youth exchange in Berlin, I had to keep an eye on 8 wild young travellers... It was scary at times, but I had mad fun, learned a lot and built strong connections. For all this, I'm very grateful.
I cherish this memory because on that occasion I suddenly realized that exploring the world was not just a distant dream.
Teach, Learn, Share
Being a passionate environmentalist, I wish to learn more about sustainable living. We could exchange tips!
I'm also pretty fluent in English -and of course, in Italian- so maybe I could help you improve your conversational skills... Since I'm living in Austria, my German is getting better and better so we could practice that together as well :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
One of my major hobbies is cooking: I love creating new recipes (especially desserts) and preparing healthy meals for people around me, so I would be more than happy to do it for my host!
I enjoy various kinds of hand-crafting and upcycling so maybe I could help you with some DIY projects.
