About Me

Hey lovely Couchsurfers!
I'm a 23-year-old Italian girl, currently leaving in Innsbruck, Austria, where I study Geology.
I love travelling, especially to those places most tourists don't see or even know about. I also love sharing my travel stories! I actually just started really travelling a few years ago, by spending an exchange year in Austria, specifically near the city of Graz, Styria (Steiermark). Then I've been mainly on school language trips, before I decided to embark myself in an adventurous backpacking year in Canada.
I like being outdoors: hiking, climbing, snowboarding and biking are my favourite passtimes. I also enjoy swimming and cold winter days with a cup of tea (or hot chocolate, even better) and a good movie!
Winter is my favourite season and the mountains my favourite landscape, although travelling along the Canadian Eastcoast made me appreciate the ocean a lot, too.
I like going out for a drink, chatting with new people as well as spending time with my friends! You'll rarely hear me say I wanna stay home and sleep!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to get to know different cultures in the cheapest but also most intense way! I don't really like very crowded and touristy place, I like to get to know where locals love spending their time, what are the stories they have to tell about their homeland, their culture and pass times!
I especially enjoy visiting remote areas, where nature is frolicking!
For me Couchsurfing is not really about finding a place to stay for free, it's about sharing. Different cultures, a meal, stories, knowledge, opinions... :)
Couchsurfing helped me a lot during the past year in Canada, by letting me get in touch with a lot of locals. I developed beautiful friendships through Couchsurfing and I hope they will last my whole life. So now I hope I can pay back by hosting travellers and keeping up the spirit of sharing Couchsurfing is based on!
