Sobre mí

note: heads up guys! Fyi, this is not a dating platform. Also, if you send me a message and you're completely anonymous (without pictures, info, references) don't be surprised if you don't receive a message back.

-----

I pretty agree with a relativistic thought that someone definitely more important than me said, a sort of constant changing and the fact that our personality appears always different to others' points of view. That's why I don't trust much self-descriptions.

Apart from philosophical speculations, I consider myself easygoing, upbeat, empathetic, passionate, definitely interested in people and their stories. I am a hopeless wanderer, at least in this stage of my life, and stability is not a word I can be associated with.
I like listening and observing. Enthusiastic about new things. Small talks are fine, but I appreciate very much meaningful conversations, sharing and connecting.

I'm -let's say very often- in a hurry, but I can find everytime an unbelievable good excuse that you'd be surprised. I'm not a morning person in weekends, unless it's a life-and-death situation.
Curiosity makes me move. I think sometimes I'm quite bad at getting my priorities straight.

I do have a really bad sense of direction, but most of the time I don't mind. Netherlands-based, I'm quite enjoying the Dutch way of life, the bikes and their humans.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm glad to hang out, have a talk about life drinking tea or a glass of wine, so feel free to contact me. I live in a small student house, and I'd love to have enough physical space in order to host people, but that's not the case (yet).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While traveling, it happens to be hosted in different ways: friends, (of friends), couchsurfing... All these experiences were nice and, somehow, new and different. So far I met only very cool people on couchsurfing (and slightly more people than you can see from the references on this profile, btw), so I'm really excited about it and future encounters.

Intereses

As I think almost everyone in this nice community, I love intense, pure, passionate travels.
Travelling is a great way to find out how compatible you are with someone and I think it really forces you to learn about yourself, especially if you're on a tight budget. While it can be amazing and fascinating, it will also throw plenty of challenges when you're hungry, tired, cranky and just need a bed to sleep in.

Travelling is for me living life to the fullest, understand what I want and what matters to me. I firmly believe there's so much beauty in the world and there are so many amazing humans to connect with.

I'm fascinated by foreign and not so foreign cultures and development issues. One of my biggest passion is nature and for this reason I am also interested in minimalism and zero waste lifestyles.

I love art in all its forms: theatre, poetry, storytelling, the roofs and chimneys of Paris, listening old people telling their life stories, and, last but definitely not least, food. I'd like to love cooking as much as I love eating, but unfortunately this is not yet the case.

Besides, I really adore mountains, nature and animals. I like hiking, camping and staying outdoors. It makes me feel happy, alive and part of this world.

Música, películas y libros

I'm fond of jazz but I listen to any kind of music (techno, blues, swing, afrobeat, bossa nova , experimental).

I like arthouse movies and absolutely adore documentaries. Also drama, but actually every kind of well-made, meaningful or experimental piece. I sometimes like witty sarcasm and satire too.

I usually read a lot, almost everything, as long as it isn't going to make me want to kill myself. Novels but also specific topics related to my studies, such as food systems and inequalities, climate change and environment-related books. I also have an activist interest in feminist practice and gender issues.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Not much to teach, a lot to learn.
I'd like to learn more languages and vegan/vegetarian recipes. I like dancing! I know a bit of Latin American dances and also some swing dance.

My great passion is understanding how different people on the globe live and give meanings to their lives. So everything you can show/tell/teach me about your country(-ies), or your culture, would be much appreciated.
