About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit and know as many places and people as possibile.

ABOUT ME

We are a drama free couple eager to now the rest of the world. last september we decided to take a break from the "normal" life to travel and discover other cultures, other ways to live life, meet other people and, hopefully, find our right place in this world.
Sometimes it felt like we were doing such a crazy thing to leave everything and everybody and just go, but in that 3 months we've met such wonderful people that we don't regret our madness.
Now we're back, we still miss what we have found in our journey and we hope not to loose it but to be able to keep it with us.

PHILOSOPHY

As Giulia's grandfather used to say: "steal with your eyes", that's to say, learn as much as you can from others and make a treasure of everything you enter in contact with.
And we always try to be respectful of others, of different cultures and believes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We started to use Couch Surfing during our travel from San Diego to San Francisco and we enjoyed it so much that we kept using it to meet people during our travel from one coast to the other. We have such wonderful memories about the people who have hosted us, opening their lives to us. We would like to use our experience to be great host ourselves, as they have been wonderful hosts to us.

Important: right now our house is going through a period of renovation and internal works that will be annoying and fatiguing therefore we're not sure to be able to host somebody cause the room will be probably used to store furniture and stuff during the renovation. We'll start to host as soon as works will be concluded.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I said not yet any experience but I hope I can change this description soon. We are eager to meet new friends!

(April 1st) YEAH! we can change this description since we have some experience right now, and they are all more than positive. We're amazed by seeing how people open their houses and life to us in such a hospital way, and how we found really interesting and different people in this new adventure of ours. We'll definitely keep doing this!

Interests

We like to explore new places we don't know yet, meet other people and have pleasent discussion with them, maybe enjoyng a glass of vine during the chat.
Since we arrived in California we have been riding bikes sooooo much! Francesco also likes to climb (even if he's not practicing since 2 years 'cause he broke his ankle) and is attracted from more or less every sport with a clue of danger.
Giulia is more careful (and ok, even fearful)about dangerous sports but somehow Francesco always manages to find a way to convince her.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, this is a tough one. Well... We like to listen to different kind of music and Francesco is always "experimenting" new ones.
We like to share our reading with one another and sometimes, usually during a long drive, we read a book out loud so that the other can hear too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To us it has been amazing the last month spent in San Francisco!
It's wonderful what nature has been able to do in Death Valley and in the Valley of Fire, and in Yosemite and in Big Sur and I could probably go on and on but I'd rather stop here and save space for things that has to come cause I'm sure we will see a lot!

We've seen a whale!! I'm not kidding, there was a real, big, dark whale almost under the Golden Gate Bridge and we had the chance to see her while we where having lunch on the Headline Marina Beach during one of our little trip by bicycle. It was so unexpected and for this reason even more intense.

Teach, Learn, Share

We are happy to share our cooking skills as we like to cook healthy but tasty.
We also like to learn and taste new foods and different kind of kitchens.
