About Me

Hi
My name is Giulia and I am from Italy...I enjoying learning, traveling and conducting a slow life!
I hope to work with astronauts and space exploration when I "grow up" or just have a lot of time to look at the skies.

I am currently writing my thesis in Astrochemistry, try to simulate with Python the conditions of the regions where stars form. I take it really seriously and my mission in life is to use this knowledge to know more about our world from other worlds.

I like to party but I also really love just to sit around a table with some friends, sipping a glass of good beer or wine and talking until late night while listening good music or playing guitar.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really enjoying meeting open-minded and fun people and I have found those nice qualities in a great amount of Couchsurfers so far.
I like the mutual trust and openness that arises when people with the same mentality for exploration meets! I have only had great experiences with couchsurfing so far!

I have surfed a couple of times and every time has been unforgettable: the first time was in Narvik (Norway) during a trip to the far North with the aim to see the northern lights. The guy who host us was incredibly friendly, he cooked for us Norwegian Salmon and we make for him an amazing Italian pasta. He drove us to the best spot outside the town to see the northern lights and we managed to see them and to see a family of moose as well. I am not going to forget this!!!
Thanks to Couchsurfing we meet a new friend and we really had an idea of how it feels living at 68N, above the Artic Circle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

ONE AMAZING THING I DO EVERY YEAR

I join the Carnival of Ivrea (Italy) and in particular the battle of oranges. Instead of explaining what it is I highly recommend to watch some videos about it to understand how wonderful is to experience it.

OTHER AMAZING THING I HAVE DONE

In 2009 I lived for 6 months in Curico', Chile. The stay was an amazing experience where I learned so much about myself and learned to build a new place to call "home" from the start.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share an insight in a small, lovely, cosy country called Denmark. I can show you local and Italian food, wonderful nature in deep green forests with old castles and deers. Tell you about danish "Hygge" (or what I have learned about it after one year in DK) and show you the danish people way of life.

Countries I’ve Visited
