About Me

I'm Giulia, a 24yo from Northern Italy. After some years abroad I moved back to Italy and I'm now in Milan! Unfortunately, I am unable to host at the moment but would happily meet up for a beer or coffee and explore the city together :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

SURFING : Because travelling is not only about visiting the place but also getting to know the people living there and their cultures, I feel like being able to live in close contact with locals gives you the great opportunity to make the most of your experience in a foreign country, discovering non-touristic spots and a city's hidden corners. And of course, hearing about other people's stories and (mis)adventures is just something I love!
- I couchsurfed in : Rotterdam, Antwerp, Glasgow, Sevilla, Lisbon, Krakow, Edinburgh, Timișoara

HOSTING : I think hosting people is a way to keep travelling at least with your mind when you don't have the time to do it physically. You get to be part of their journey as well, which is awesome if you think about it! I love chilling on the couch, enjoying a good beer and chatting with surfers from all over the world.
- I hosted surfers from : Canada, Poland, United States, Belgium, Slovakia, Switzerland, England, Norway, Chile, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany, France, Austria, India, Ukraine, Russia, Bulgaria

Interests

I am a movie passionate. As a Media student, I often find myself exploring new movie genres and looking for the latest movie trailer for hours and hours (that's surely my favourite hobby of all). And of course, I love the old ones as well... Who doesn't appreciate a timeless classic under the duvet, when outside it's cold and raining?

I also enjoy cooking - especially the eating part - and experimenting with new recipes from different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC : Daughter, The White Stripes, Bonobo, AnnenMayKantereit, Fil Bo Riva, The Zen Circus, The Beatles, Queen, Gorillaz, Tame Impala...... aaand many more !!

MOVIES : Arrival, Fight Club, The Fall, Seven, Vertigo, Nocturnal Animals, Pulp Fiction, Spirited Away

BOOKS : I've never been an avid reader but I recently rediscovered the beauty of (AUDIO)books! I mostly enjoy reading dystopian fiction (The Handmaid's Tale, Never Let Me Go, The Circle, Fahrenheit 451, Divergent series), horrors (I read The Shining but had terrible nightmares for over a week... currently trying to read IT, but maybe it's just too much) and thrillers (Gone Girl, The Dead Zone, The Girl on the Train).

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you some Italian if you'd like but most importantly I can provide some real delicious Italian coffee for those caffeine addicts out there!
