ABOUT ME

My name is Giulia Parzani, I am from a small town on the Iseo lake, situated close to the big area of Milano, northern Italy. Since my diploma (got from the High School of Brescia) I moved to the lively city of Bologna, where I study at the Alma mater studiorum, University of Bologna, and I live on my own. I got my bachelor degree this summer in Political Science, with a specialization in Development and International Cooperation.
I have studied for a period of six month in Turkey with the ERASMUS program, one of the most exciting expierence I have never had!
During my studies I also had the opportunity to travel around Europe, better understanding the dimension of Europe integration and European Union, iproving my language skills, meeting new people and new cultures.
I am attending now a master course of International Relation, and here I have chosen a path connected with the history of international relations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I flew to South Africa in 2006. I was 17 and it was the very first time I was travelling so far away from my hometown and my family. As soon as I have landed I fell in love with that new, different, exciting place: Africa. I have lived in South Africa for one summer, one of the most extraordinary summer of my life. I did not need much time to understand I was in a unique place in the world, a country rich of dissimilarities and contradictions; inhabited by people who recognising the injustice of their past are ready to overcome and put aside their difficult history of discrimination, apartheid, poverty; a nation led by citizens determined to build up a state in the full respect of human rights. It is a great place, and I would love to get back there one day, maybe..
