About Me

Hey there! I'm Giulia from Rome, Italy. I love spending my weekends outdoors, climbing, hiking or just exploring the nature.
I have lived and travelled abroad many times and I'm always grateful to meet different people and learn a bit about their lives.
Looking forward to keep this mindset of sharing stories and experiences during my whole life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet lots of different people, discover their way of living, sharing experiences and tales about past journeys and future adventures.

I had my first experience with couchsurfers in 2015, when I visited Heidelberg, Zurich and Amsterdam few months later. I was absolutely fascinated by this way of travelling and I'm eager to do it again anytime!

Music, Movies, and Books

Live music in general, jazz (Kamasi Washington, Dave Brubeck, Nina Simone, Flying Lotus, Shake Stew, Esperanza Spalding), Nai Palm, Tame Impala, Björk, St. Vincent, Talking Heads...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a tent out of the blue because all the hostels in Inverness (Scotland) were booked and spent the night on a beach nearby, without mats and blankets but with the sound of waves breaking on the shore as lullaby.

Spend two night sleeping in a cave in Sardinia (Italy), lulled by the sound of waves.

Learned how to surf on a rainy December day on Tofino Long Beach, Vancouver Island (Canada).

Went on a three-days horseriding trip in Borovets mountais (Bulgaria) and managed to gallop in open meadows and feel like flying for the first time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Italian cooking, all the languages I know, photography techniques and how not to get afraid of climbing crags or boulders!
