About Me

***Before sending a couchsurfing request please be advised that I will not accept any requests from people looking for a cheap place to stay because they come to Brussels for a concert or a special evening...Also try not to copy paste the same message to everyone but have the decency to read my profile first. I do like to spend time with my guests, show them around if time allows that and cook together a nice meal. I do conceive CS as a chance to get to know new people, make new friends and have nice conversations. Happy life everyone :-)***

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life happily :)

ABOUT ME

I am a gay guy, very down to earth, easy-going and sociable who likes getting to know new cultures and countries and meeting up with people from different backgrounds. I have always been a relentless rebel spirit, leaving home when I was 19 to study in another city in Italy, going for one year in Madrid to continue my studies and ending up in Brussels like 15 years ago...city that I call home now :-)

PHILOSOPHY

They will always criticize you, they will run you down and it will be probably difficult to find anyone who likes you as you are! Therefore live, do what your heart tells you to do; life is like a theatrical work, with no opening rehearsal: sing, dance and live your life intensely everyday before the work ends with no applauses.

If I could sum up my philosophy of life in 2 words that would be CARPE DIEM :-) we have one life at the end of the day and I just want to make the best memorable use of it ;-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted in Singapore and in Kuching (Malaysia) and met other couchsurfers for drinks/chat and a walk around...All in all it was a great experience not only because I made new friends with whom I am still in contact but because I had the chance to experience the places I was visiting through the eyes of a local and discover their beautiful countries not like a simple tourist :)

Interests

Going to the movies and concerts, hanging out with friends, clubbing, cooking, dining out, hiking, running

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite movie: The Goonies, All about my mother, La dolce vita, Call me by your name

I love all movies from Pedro Almodovar and Ferzan Ozpetek, best directors ever =)

Favourite books: The Kite's Runner; all books by Agatha Christie; Reunion

I like pop, chill out and disco music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to climb Kilimanjaro and reached Uhuru Peak...this was by far the most physical and mental challenge ever! I even cried when I reached the top because it was such an emotional experience...I thought I would not get there but it is all in our head: if you want something, you can get it...surely but slowly :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make pizza, freshly made pasta and cakes. As an Italian, food is important ;-) and it's about love and passion for good products which you need to share with family and friends! I love having a good glass of wine (or two lol) in great company :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My past travel experiences, a good dose of humour which is always appreciated :D haha
