HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sorry, I'm very selective on choosing who to host. It's very personal for me to accept someone to live under my roof. But if you get accepted, know that by all means my mind and hearth are open for you - I always want to get the most out of any experience!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a Sardinian, I'm a dedicated host and a respectful guest.
I like to cross my path with interesting persons. CS is for me an opportunity to touch the lives of far away people, grown up and living in different frameworks, cultures, landscapes and relationships.

I'm always hungry and eager to know. More than simple interests, often passions burn me deep. I'm a wondering child with wide open eyes, strong grasp and a large smile.

I like to cook and make cocktails. I like beers and wines and liquors. I love engineering, especially motors, particularly bikes. I'm interested in any kind of technology, from Leonardo to moon (shall I say mars now?) rovers. I'm fond of animals, plants and life in general. I love spending time in open air, be it my garden, some park around, an ancient wood or bare-rock high Alpes. I like simple sports like frisbee, pingpong, squash, and team sports like soccer, basketball or volleyball. I'm totally in love with martial arts (and I still consider myself a martial artist, even after so many years), as well as philosophy, wisdom and morality - but hence not politics. I'm a bookworm since childhood and still kickin'. I like to lay on grass and stare at clouds and stars. I love audiovisual storytelling, even better if interactive, so videogames sit just one step above movies. And I like almost any kind of music that comes from the author sharing a piece his own soul, which luckily happens in almost all genres.
I can also happily admit my best friends have always been female - I guess that says something about me too.

Still, what attracts me most, are stories. Experiences of people. Pictures to show, places to describe, convoluted episodes. I'm good audience, have my share to talk about, and there's a whole world out there I'd love to explore together.

A LOT, pretty much everything that comes from great effort, inspiration and purpose. The medium is not important: I prefer stories told at night around a camp fire, for what matters.

I have a picture with the Dalai Lama, after being in the crew that organized his Milan 2007 visit.

I studied and practiced traditional martial Tai Chi Chuan, which marked me more than Shaolin even if I was ahead in the second.

I moved alone with no contacts from my original 800-people town lost in the middle of nowhere to Milan at 19yo.

I use to realize my dreams, and call that normal.

I really believe living is learning. And the best way to learn is sharing with other people. Well, ok, second best: I have to admit it's even better to experience together ;)
