About Me

Hello, here it's Giuseppe (or Beppe, it's up to you). I am an ambitious, smiling, enthusiastic and positive guy, and my biggest dream is to travel as long as my body and my camera follow me. I am from Italy but I'm actually based as a PhD student in Chemistry at the Radboud University, in Nijmegen - The Netherlands.

My biggest hobbies are traveling and photography. Besides that, I have also been an Erasmus student for 6 months in Paris and an ESN member (Erasmus Student Network) in the local section of my hometown, Ferrara (Italy).

I have traveled to many countries, but always looking forward to explore lot of new ones!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing for two reasons. First of all I think the best way of meeting people is spending some time with them, living their lives, understand their habits. The second reason is because I strongly believe that helping people is one of the things that human beings should always do, and Couchsurfing is all about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I almost like any kind of movies, except horrors and science fiction. So far a few favorite actors are Mark Wahlberg, Denzel Washington and Leonardo di Caprio. Favorite director is definitely Christopher Nolan.

When it comes to reading, unfortunately I don't like to read that much, but sometimes I feel like it would be really helpful.

Music is another passion of mine: I am a fan of The MGMT, Coldplay, The xx, The Script and in general I like electronic and deep house music the most. I sometimes also enjoy playing guitar and drum.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first amazing thing I have done was wandering for one month in Europe, without any plan, discovering new places and cultures, at a very young age. The second one was a bit more crazy, when I decided to jump from a 16 meters trampoline in Croatia (and discover soon after that it was not a trampoline). It all went fine if you are wondering.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably say that I am able to teach what I studied and working on: chemistry (I know, maybe you don't like it but still, it's an option). I am pretty good with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom when it comes to editing photos. I am not that good at cooking but I always try to do my best in it. I love to eat though!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a really easy going guy, adaptable to every situations and usually I have no problems to deal with different people and cultures. I can be very helpful, as helping other people is one of the things I am very good at. I bring with me lot of funny stories and I think I can consider myself as a guy you don't feel bored to talk to. And well, mainly I can try to offer to my hosts some Italian food or wines, they are normally really appreciated.
