ABOUT ME

The ultimate adventure is to discover a treasure.
The greatest treasure man has always been looking for is happiness.
Whoever finds it is the richest in the world, it does not need anything else.

My name is Giuseppe, italian 29 years old passionate dreamer.

- In 2014 I was not an expert traveller,
but a fresh graduate who kept faith with the promise he had made as a child and traveled the world in a year.
- Last year I was not a triathlete,
but the typical inconclusive "millennial" who does not know the word “sacrifice”. Yet, from scratch I became an IRONMAN in 365 days.
- Today, I am not even a reporter,
but like all the guys of my age, I watch TV and YouTube looking for programs or videos that satisfy my curiosity. If I do not find what I'm looking for, it’s not enough for me to change the channel…
I'm going to find out for myself!

WHAT DO I HAVE IN MIND?
I want to make the reportage about happiness that I have always wanted to see but that no one has ever produced!

- I will interview women and men who with their extraordinary stories can inspire us to make more with our life than what we would have ever thought. I will select profiles by culture, religion, social class, profession, nutrition and sexual orientation.
- I will ask each interviewee 10 questions to understand his personality and his approach to happiness, without ever being able to foresee where the conversation will end thanks to their free interpretation. What would the Dalai Lama or Pep Mujica would say if I asked them: "What is the most precious thing you own?"
- Only a year to find and interview them trying to learn what "happiness" means in the most remote corners of the earth in different cultures and traditions. I will leave on September 15, 2019. I will reach all 6 continents, traveling nostop without ever going back.

I hope you have perceived the passion and determination with which I will live this new adventure and I am looking forward to meeting you to discover what happiness means for you too.

WHY COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is the best way for me to meet locals in every place I visit and get deep into their habits and their culture. This will be essential for my research and to understand how we differently apporach to happiness.

I hope to meet hosts that will soon become friends.

I enjoy cooking, especially for others. I will thank you for your generosity and kindness cooking typical italian dishes while sharing our best anecdotes.

Interests

During this project, my lifestyle will always be careful to conserve and protect the natural resources, habitats and biodiversity of the Earth.
I will endeavor to mitigate the negative impact that is created when we travel and share my choices with as many people as possible to raise awareness.
I will minimize plastic waste, I will prefer eco-friendly hosts, I will support the local economy and for my technical gears, I will only select brands with sustainable and ethical production.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year I wanted to overcome my own limitations and I gave myself twelve months to achieve a radical transformation: turn from an average man into an IRONMAN!

This was the purpose of "Progetto Liminis", a vlog which followed, step by step, stride by stride, my change throughout the preparation to compete in the most famous and most extreme triathlon in the world, IRONMAN: 3.86 km swimming race, 180.26 km cycling race, finished off by a 42,195 km marathon.

After one full year of everyday training I achieved my dream. The prize wasn't the medal but the deep personal transformation that shape my mind to be ready to go for each of my dream.

I hope we will have time to train together: swim, bike, run, football, or any sport you play, I am in anytime anywhere. I can share with you some good suggestion to keep fit, it's not as hard as it seems. ;)
