About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Actor, guided tour leader/interpreter, tourist entertainer, blogger, photographer, graphic designer and aspiring to be a social entrepreneur. Willing to travel the whole world.

ABOUT ME

I'm an artist. Sort of. At least, I like to think of myself as one. At least, I worry about always make my life look like a work of art.

As an artist, I deal with words and images. I'm a freelance blogger, wishing to become a book writer, and an amateur photographer, willing to become pro.

My main blog is about a universal feeling, Love, that is. One of my ambitions is to have a great number of active readers of this blog and of some other blogs of mine. I'd like to be able to get your support, my future friends and couchsurfers, on this goal of mine.

On another ambition I'd like to accomplish, the one of becoming a pro photographer, I'd appreciate once more to get the support of all the beautiful people who are in this couch surfers community. If I'll ever achieve any artistic glory, you will be able to state that you share it with a perhaps deserving creative being, me. Because once upon a time you were my model in a photo session. You'll have to be crazy to accept this challenge but... Let's dream of it together, shall we?

And if by chance, someone who might be reading this has a yacht and wants to gather a crew to sail all around this whole world - or rather just sailing on a swiss lake -, please count on me to be a member of that crew, will ya?... Thank you.

PHILOSOPHY

Pietrinism, my very own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, some activities like photographic safaris, museums and art galleries guided visits, mountain bike riding, tennis, archery, trekking, wine tasting, etc.. Anything which has to do with fine living, in general.

All these activities are also in the scope of some of my current jobs, guided tour leader/interpreter and tourist entertainer in hotels and resorts.

And now I'm turning pro! I had to. In order to better take friends to show them around my hometown and its surroundings, to be a guide with increased quality, I had to make this activity more self-sustainable. So, I have now a profile at RentAFriend.com: http://tinyurl.com/zyk4mb9

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until now. I've hosted a good man and his woman, from Poland; a young and sweet girl from Korea, who studies in France; one of my dearest friends, an eco-minded great soul from Brest, Belarus; and a couple of joyful tourism students, from Germany. And I've also helped CS members doing city tours in Lisbon and Sintra.

I have never been a CS guest to anyone, whatsoever. A fact which I'm willing to change. With your generous help. ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• Being the father of a wonderful young and beautiful girl, of 23 y.o. now.
• A journey from Lisbon, my hometown, to København, Danmark, by train, started without having budget enough for the return.
• A journey from Lisbon, my hometown, to Brest, French Brittany, by car, to join a once love of mine, without telling her I went to visit her.
• Running for president of my country, even if it was just a joke...
• A journey from Lisbon, my hometown, to Lahti, Finland, by plane and train, to join my lifetime soulmate, last October 2015.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a volunteer teacher of English and Portuguese for foreigners in SPEAK Lisbon, Portugal. SPEAK Lisbon website: http://www.speak.social/en

I try to be as open minded as it takes in all situations. I enjoy to talk freely and openly about any subject, whatsoever. I believe I don't have any taboo. And my lifestyle motto is:
"Whenever possible, be gentle. It is always possible."
- Dalai Lama

As a human being and couchsurfer, the quote that best describes me is:
“I am homesick for a place I am not sure even exists. One where my heart is full. My body loved. And my soul understood.”,
- Melissa Cox

What I Can Share with Hosts

With hosts or guests, I can share my time, my knowledge of some of the most best kept secrets about my hometown and country, my joie de vivre, my savoir-faire, my sarcastic view about the meaning of life, my bottles of wine and the meals I will be willing to prepare, if I'll ever be in the mood for cooking.

And as a pro host, I have now a profile at RentAFriend.com: http://tinyurl.com/zyk4mb9
