Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
See as much of the world as I can.
ABOUT ME
I'm a pretty quiet person until I get to know people. Or until I have a few drinks. Despite that, I enjoy meeting new people and sharing experiences. I much prefer to sit and talk in a pub than to dance in a club. I'm hoping that through Couch Surfing that I can meet a lot of great people and see the world while I do it.
PHILOSOPHY
This can probably be summed up in two phrases.
"Work to live, not live to work" and "You regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did".
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I have hosted for a couple of travellers with whom I've ended up quite good friends back home, but my main experience is surfing around Europe.
Couch Surfing really allows you do stay in these small towns that most tourists don't even visit and been shown stuff by the locals that you can barely even read about in tourist guides.
The more surfing I can do the better.
I've also got to several meetups both in my hometown and abroad and hope to go to many more.
Intereses
I have probably 5 main interests. Those being travelling, computers, board games, sports and reading. I'm a software developer by trade but still spend just as much time on my computer when I'm at home as a I do at work. I read all sorts of books, mostly fantasy, but most fiction interests me. I don't really play much sport, but I love to watch it. Mostly Aussie Rules and Cricket. My most recent hobby and passion is board games. I discovered board games (beyond Monopoly etc) several years ago and have been hooked ever since.

Música, películas y libros
I go through quite a lot of books of all genres. I read a lot of fantasy but try not to limit myself to it. Some of my favourite authors are Richard Layman, Sara Douglas, Raymond E Feist, Magaret Weiss, Matthew Reilly, Andy McDermott and Peter V Brett.
As for music I am into rock for the most part. Classic as well as some newer stuff. The Black Keys and the Black Crowes are two of my favourites. But other stuff I listen too includes Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Wolfmother, ACDC and ZZ Top. So yeah, pretty much if it is Blues/Rock, I'll listen to it.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I've seen a lot of amazing things in the short time I've been travelling. But probably one which still stands out for me is Neuschwanstein Castle. It's quite hard to believe that such a place can exist outside of a fairy tale.
Well that was one amazing thing I've seen. One amazing thing I've done was when Couch Surfing in Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia I got invited to go explore a cave which isn't open to the public by a friend of my host. It was times like that which really cement why I love Couch Surfing.
I'm gonna cheat and put a second thing here also. I've also walked the Camindo de Santiago from Porto (one of the shortest routes at 230km, but it was still an amazing experience).
Enseña, aprende, comparte
When you're meeting people from all around the world you're always learning and teaching even when you don't know it. You learn so much about their country and culture just simply by talking, and on that same note you teach them so much about yours.
