Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
Experiencing what I can, when I can
ABOUT ME
I'm in the midst of a never ending wanderlust. I caught the travel bug when I was 17 and never looked back.I spent my summers traveling and studied a year in Argentina. After graduating from university I moved to Tokyo to teach English. Then I spent a year teaching English in Thailand where I met my boyfriend then we headed to Slovakia to teach for another 7 months. After a 6 month break at home, I set off again - I've been living in London for a year now doing the Europe thing...
PHILOSOPHY
don't get boring

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
It's been a few years since I've had a big enough place to host but now I do so couch surfing is back on! I also plan to do a healthy amount of travelling in Europe so hopefully people will host me! :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Through out my travels I've stayed in many hostels, tents, hotels, bungalows, airports, floors, and couches. But the most memorable experiences were sleeping on peoples couches or vice versa. Though most of them were friends of friends or some other unofficial form of surfing, they always proved to be the most exciting form of accommodation. Its always the best conversation, sightseeing, partying or whatever you may have. I'm so glad to have experienced this hospitality and unique form of traveling that I want nothing more to keep it going for others to enjoy!
Interessi
Not to be cheesy and quote a line from the ultra hipster movie 'Into the Wild', but I'm going to anyway. "The core of mans' spirit comes from new experiences". I am not into quotes, but this struck me as something I completely agree with. I believe that when we cease having new experiences, we also cease living life. New experiences stimulate us and fire our imaginations. With out them we're just zombies. And not the fun brain-eating kind. So i guess my interests are experiences. But also, if I'm being all status quo about my interest they are rugby, camping, thrifting, hiking, caving, rafting, dancing, partying, painting, and road tripping to name a few. Also potato chips are the best thing in the world.

Musica, film e libri
I like original movies with gumption and music I can dance to. I read more magazines than books, but when I head to the library I head to the non-fiction section. Except for when a new True Blood book comes out. I love reading in a southern accent :) Although the most fun things in a library include photocopying my face and sticking my mouth under a high powered dryer in the bathroom. It feels like skydiving.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I have many but off the top of my head I guess they are sky diving in Argentina, bungee jumping in the High Tatra Mountians, climbing the Pinnacles in the Mulu National Park in Borneo, caving in caves that can fit several airplanes, canopying in costa rica, canyoning in Japan, white water rafting in Peru, cliff diving in Marquette Michigan (holla), seeing bizarre and often creepy sexual services being offered in Japan, experiencing the 'old white man + young asian girl' phenomenon in many parts of Asia, Bolivian jungle and jumping through ridiculous bureaucratic hoops to get what I want.
Insegna, impara, condividi
hmmm. I suppose I can teach you to play rugby (rucking, scrumming, tackling). I'm not big into cooking but I have perfected a few Slovak dishes (turned vegetarian). Also hummus and guacamole. I can teach you to prepare Argentine mate. I can help you crochet a scarf and put a really fun outfit together...hopefully involving spandex, shoulder pads, hair teasing, stilettos, and fake tattoos.
