Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to explore the world and its people. I want to learn as much as I can before I die.
ABOUT ME
29 years old and searching --on a never ending journey for true enlightenment.
PHILOSOPHY
One final paragraph of advice: Do not burn yourself out. Be as I am-a reluctant enthusiast... a part time crusader, a half-hearted fanatic. Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure. It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it is still there. So get out there and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, encounter the grizz, climb the mountains. Run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, that lovely, mysterious and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much: I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to build a community of trust, a community that allows people to explore the world without large quantities of money and at the same time allows people to experience the selflessness and beauty of kindhearted individuals around the globe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had 3 gentlemen from Wisconsin stay with me the Winter of 08. They own www.driftlessbooks.com, an online bookstore. They stayed in Ames because they purchased some book racks nearby. One of the guys remains a good friend of mine to this day.
I have moved a lot over the last few years for work so haven't had that many more experiences with Couch Surfing. I prefer my tent:)
Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In July 2014 I traveled to Lake Itasca, Minnesota where I began a solo journey kayaking the Mississipi River's 2,500 miles. I finished in September.

Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about a lot.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I live in a beautiful home in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was one of the first 6 homes built here. Unfortunately I only have one couch at the moment, but I have plenty of floor space, 1 bathroom, a large kitchen and you'll have full access to my home. I want to make whoever stays here as comfortable as possible. My couch pulls out and could sleep 2. I have lots of camping pads and sleeping bags so the floor is always an option. 420 friendly.
