CURRENT MISSION
To expand my world, and hopefully expand yours too!
ABOUT ME
If asked, my friends would most likely make clear that my consistent love affair with coffee is not the sole, direct result of my high energy personality- that's just the way I am. Behind my coffee obsessed, chatty exterior is really someone who is just fascinated by people and the world around her. They would point out my sarcasm and humor, but hopefully they would share that I love to listen just as much as I like to talk. I am a student currently studying in Sevilla Spain, with the hopes to leave here with a good grasp on the Andalusian way of life! During my time here I am looking forward to traveling to Morocco, the U.K., Ireland, Greece, Belgium, Portugal, and the Canary Islands.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to the couchsurfing community, but I am very eager to participate!
Interests
ANYTHING that is bold enough to stray from the beaten path. This could be a new type of cuisine, a funky hairstyle, a piece of art or architecture, etc. I love finding inspiration from life's everyday oddities. I don't like limiting myself or any possible experiences, so I try to keep an open mind when observing the things that surround me. Mostly, I find myself drawn to and engaged by people with passion. Seeing others be passionate about something- whether it's travel, art, their personal rock collection, or finding the perfect sunflower patch- is the most engaging thing to me. Naturally, I love spending time with my friends and family. But I try to deviate from my daily "routine" as much as possible. I am always looking for a new place to uncover, new people to meet, and new things to learn. I love taking small day trips to Philadelphia and trying new foods or discovering a new part of the city I am not familiar with. Although I must confess, I spend WAY too much time reading my favorite travel blogs online as well! I also consider Barnes& Noble my personal sanctuary, and have easily "wasted" a thousand afternoons here.
Mountains, french fries, people, travel, anything yellow, bodies of water, movies, books, the perfect cup of coffee, music, getting lost, stepping outside the comfort zone, laughing, are just some of the things I love.

Music, Movies, and Books
I couldn't possibly name ALL of my favorites in this section. But a small sampling I can manage!
Music: Joni Mitchell, John Butler Trio, Frank Sinatra, M.I.A, Radiohead, John Fogerty, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Amy Winehouse, Bob Dylan, Devendra Banhart, Pearl Jam, Talking Heads, Nick Drake, She & Him, Shakira, Xavier Rudd, and so much more.
The last book I read was Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder. If you feel you are lacking in inspiration, READ this book! The story follows a doctor, Paul Farmer, who is nothing short of an amazing human.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most vividly stunning thing that last struck a cord with me was without a doubt the view from on top of the Eiffel Tower. This was so much more then a view for me at the time. I was 18 and it was my first solo trip on foreign soil. Standing up there I realized just how small my world had been until I came to Paris. I remember thinking to myself during those moments " ...and if Paris is this big and different, what is the rest of the WORLD like?". A calming came over me while I walked around the top of the tower, I suddenly felt the multiple opportunities and paths I had yet to even consider. Gazing over the city of Paris, I knew a new passion for travel and life were now ignited within me. A little corny, I know! But that moment and that view were an absolute game changer in my life thus far.
