About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be happy

ABOUT ME

28 years old, currently in Santiago, Chile.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to love and serve others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting more than surfing at the moment. But, that is bound to change.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing better than letting people you don't know into your home, into your life. You never know where it will take you.

Interests

Bike, read, run, snorkel, dive, mountain climb, photography, drink delicious beer and cook even tastier food. I'm a huge outdoor enthusiast. Anyone interested in surfing on my couch shouldn't be shy to offer a hike or an expedition in the area. There are tons of mountains and volcanoes to climb and not enough time in the day to climb them all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding for ROMP 2010In 2010, a friend, Pat Mathay, and I cycled from Eugene, Oregon to Zacapa, Guatemala, all while raising money for a non-profit, the Range of Motion Project (ROMP), that provides prosthetic and orthotic care to amputees and people living with disabilities. The ride, "Riding for ROMP 2010" was incredibly successul. Our 78 day journey through Oregon, California, the entire pacific coast of Mexico (worst rainy season in history), and later the highlands of Guatemla paid off tremendously. We raised more than $25,000 for ROMP's patients and we are alive to tell about it. Learn more about our crazy adventure: http://rompglobal.org/ridingforromp

Quick details: 4,000 mile journey through 120 degree deserts, over mountaintops, and through what Mexico’s President Felipe Calderon has called “the worst rainy season on record.”
