About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life does not stand still and I try to keep up

ABOUT ME

I think that impressions is major. This way I like the changes, meetings, motion, life tasks and their solutions. I enjoy travels and consider as one of life priorities. I like to meet new people, like to find out personal points of view over life interests etc. =)

PHILOSOPHY

Personalized request is waste of time.

Just calc a case. You spend 5–10 mins for look at each profile, 5–10 mins to write personalize request. And send 5-10 request per city. Have a 0.5 city per day in journey.

So it cost up to 2 hours per day and all that you do — just to pick some detail to show: "hey, host, I twisted on your profile to cram some personal futile in request". Absolutly meaningless work. It means nothing for both of you and your potential host.

And don't forget to think about all that hell with internet connections and small phone screens, with which you often had to deal. 2 hours in journey should be spend for better purposes.

Personalized request is for couch theoreticals, not for real travelers.

How it works in real life: I look at your porfile and think, that dude is ok to stay with. Then send request to you. You look at my profile, think like: nice guy, but I'm duty/not in mood. Decline.

Decline. Decline. Decline. Decline. Decline. Decline. Decline. Accept. Cool. Let's go

What the comunity bonzas really should do is to explain, that request is not offer the hand and heart. It's just an invitation to look on surfer profile. Host owe nothing, he could decline request at ever moment. Hosts, please don't hesistance to decline and don't be proud to expect too much personal attention before first answer from your part.

Respect travel time

---

We live once so we have to catch opportunities which granted time to time. And the main thing, if given opportunity leads not to be useless, use it.

If somebody tired of life monotony and rezlize it, he always can learn or see something new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since my registration in 2008 I had surf an host severeal times, and that was cool) Every time I rejoice, what interesting people may encounter on CouchSurfing.

For me it is especially good experience. I meet the real foringers in their everyday life. No another variants, to have a feel of country in so short time. CS is not mass, not industry, and can split up peoples of their purposes.

Interests

I'm fan of travels! I've depend of that state "in motion" when you on the way, and you have infinity of variants to get to next waypoint. It feels like a freedom! For a long home stay I fell tired.

I'm programmer, and before was a production operator at gas field and as a graduate student working on some problems of permafrost. City infrastructure, art, especaially photography and design, sceince, especially maths are things that matters for me, however I'm not a professional in it.

I love biking, mountain skiing, attempts myself in another sport activities.

Music, Movies, and Books

In music I listen a wide range of styles, indie, rock, ethnic, classic, relax, trance, dubstep, some pop and any another that fell good for me.

Books are multipliers for expirience. In fiction books I prefer classic of world literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every trip is amazing and provides a lot of amazing memories.
Place, where I was worked, is over polar circle, and I can say that nature there, the tundra, is wonderful in every season.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share experience in Photography and talk something about Programming. My profession is oil and gas fields development, and it is also theme, about I can speak for times. For example I can tell how works the oil and gas fields and more.

We can talk about travel experience, about best ways to reach wonderful and not very expensive adventures. And of course cs participating is good to training language skills!

If you looking for flight tickets, consider https://matrix.itasoftware.com, this is service by google, which don't sell tickets but shows wonders of flexibility in searching of lowest fare
