Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Gleb Kilichenko and I’m a 20 years old student from Ukraine.
I'm a programmer, my primary long-term professional interests are as for now quite broad and include Machine Learning, DataScience, distributed systems and blockchain in particular. If we are talking about super long term vision, that would probably revolve around Math, which I’m currently by world’s standards not very good at, Cognitive Sciences and AI.
I’ve got an uncomfortably wide interests and just generally enjoy engaging with ideas no matter the subject, but the more abstract, the better. I’m a voracious reader and apart from professional literature, would joyfully spend my time reading on such subjects as Philosophy which I’m especially fond of, Psychology, Evolutionary Biology, Economics, History and even Nutrition. In the view of that it wouldn’t look like an overstatement to say I’m exceptionally open-minded so if you’re looking for someone who you could have 3-4 hour long conversations on pretty much any topic - just contact me. I’m inspired by a very diverse set of exceptional individuals like Elon Musk, Alan Turing, Albert Einstein, Alan Watts, Jordan Peterson and many others.
Apart from intellectuals propensities, I also pursue a fair amount of hobbies of varying degrees of weirdness and time I put into them. Those include playing the guitar, slacklining, poi spinning and mountaineering. I’m quite an experienced skier and also happen to be a former professional archer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think Couchsurfing is first of all a great way to meet new people . I believe it to be the case while I hope that our world is wide enough and rich enough for everyone. The possibility of such a service proves to me that trust between people could in most cases be established which is the basis of a healthy society.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to music really a lot. Pretty much always in the headphones. Sometimes even in the shower. There are more than 150 artists in my music library. For the most part I listen to rock, neoclassical music, and also electronics, but actually my preferences are notoriously wide.
Not a movie fan, prefer to spend time only on really worthy pieces of work.
Already commented on my reading habits above =)
What I Can Share with Hosts
If long and philosophically flavored conversions is what you like, then we'll definitely get along. And by philosophy I don't mean rambling about meaninglessness of life, I mean Philosophy - from Plato to Heidegger and from Skeptics to Existentialists.
I'm also playing acoustic guitar a little bit, could teach some basic things.
I also could spin poi, if you've ever heard about what it is, check out my YouTube channel for this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHxCoSjLoIJE1NW8jgsekAw
In case you are not a native English speaker, we'll have fun practicing our English together. I've participated in English contest on my country level and scored 20th out of more than one hundred participants.
