My name is Glib, but as I am originally from a Russian-speaking region of Ukraine I prefer Russian variation of my name that is Gleb.

I had been living in Donetsk for a long time, but then I moved to Vinnitsia to study international relations. I also had been living half a year in Warsaw, where I had been studying at Warsaw University as an exchange student.

International relations for me is not just a field of study that is a thing I really fall in love with. So travelling is not only my passion but to some extent even my future job.

I like meeting new people from all over the world, listen to their stories, learning different cultures and languages.
My philosophy is simple, if you are going to change the world, first your should understand it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is the best thing to understand the country. To see not the tourist side, but to feel a real spirit of the nation. That why I am on Couchsurfing, it helps me to understand countries, nations and the whole world.

Interests

I like everything connected with international relations and politics and can speak about it for hours.
My another big passion is music. I listing different kinds of it, but most of all I like classical music, blues, rock and postrock. Now I am also learning to play the guitar.
Among others my interests are surfing, reading, writing, movies, poetry, science, philosophy, psychology.
I also added coffee as my interest and for me it really is. Good coffee is some sort of art for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like such films as "Inception", "Shutter Island", "Mind Games", "The Prestige", I also love old westerns by Sergio Leone as " Dollars Trilogy" or films by Clint Eastwood. Among my favorite films are also the oldest one with Charlie Chaplin.
