About Me

CURRENT MISSION:
Discover new places, new people, new worlds.

ABOUT ME:
Hi guys, my name is Gledis an Italian guy and i'll be travelling in Asia for 9 months. first of all I'm an openminded and extremely curious person, those things drive me most of the time to make new experience and get in contact with new situations and friendly people. about my background, i was born in Albania and then my family moved to Italy when i was 2 yo, grew up in a wonderful area but boring when you are 20. so after my bachelor studies i moved to Berlin for new experiences and to complete my education, and now that is over i'm ready for Asia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfing was introduced to me from friends and I started to use it the first time to Turkey during a short trip. after this amazing experience i decided to to write my bachelor thesis about the hospitality ritualism of couchsurfing with interviews to people who are part of the community since a long time in order to understand why this experience is so unique and powerful.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a really big fan of hard rock music: led zeppelin, deep purple, stones, etc. beside that i always tried to experience new kind od music depending on the situation and the environment. for example in the last 2 years in Berlin i developed my passion for ska music, Balcan music and techno.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the most amazing thing i've done are related because of travelling. getting lost in the small and chaoticl Istanbul streets and markets, drive on the infinte highways in North America with the most breathless landscaped at dawn, enjoy the sunset in the south of Spain and of course getting drunk with some friends in Venice bridges, the most unique city.

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach how to cook some Italian food and culture, and some basics of longboarding and capoeira. what i would like to learn is anything can help me be a better person. I can share with you my time, my experience some wine and fun.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Poland, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Italy
