About Me

Life is way too short, and way too beautiful to waste in one place. So yeah, I guess that's what I'm all about. Travel, new experiences, and hanging out with cool people. Because sometimes the experiences you have are less important than the people you share them with.
Also I swear I'm not this pretentious in real life, honestly :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mainly so I get to hang out with some awesome people, and hopefully host some too! And also because I really hate being touristy in the places I go, and would rather get to try doing the fun things folks who actually live in the country do!

Interests

Long, romantic walks on the beach...
Okay in seriousness I like Writing (lots), Animals, Architecture, Poetry, Live Music, pretty much all Guitar-Based Music, Motorbikes, Golf, and pretty much learning anything. And making Nachos! Ooh, and also drinking wine and pretending I'm extremely snooty and saying things like 'This bouquet is reminiscent of a hedgehog dipped in honey, I do declare!'

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Brand New, Balance And Composure, AFI, Two Step Slumber, Madrugada, RVIVR, Mesa Cosa, Circa Survive, and Lex Land.
Movies: The Illusionist, Fight Club, New Kids Turbo, and I'm just going to pretend It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a movie ;)
Books...okay that would take all day.
Let's just say I like Patricia Mckillip, Tanith Lee, Patrick Rothfuss and Harri Harrison as authors, and Baudelaire, Kipling, Poe, and Bukowski as poets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Almost got published by Penguin Books when I was 17...so I guess I haven't actually done that.
But I have built a 4mx4m Rubix Cube on a lawn overnight, so we'll leave it at that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like cooking a whole lot and will share my secret and amazing Nacho recipe!
In terms of teaching, if you ever need to know anything about Gothic Fictions, Zoology, or Investing then I am your man. And yeah, I like learning, period. Though I've always wanted to try blacksmithing so if anyone is in fact a blacksmith in this day and age yeah, teach me.
Sharing-I guess just experiences. I like bars, and live music, and pretty much just doing things when I travel.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An insanely large bar tab. And a heap of fun times/if you want we can pretend I'm your bodyguard and I'll follow you around at all times in a suit and dark glasses.
Or we could pretend I'm a robot sent back from the future to terminate you!
Or I guess we could just be normal people and hang out, that works too.
And if you ever did want to visit some tourist things in your town but never had a reason to, I can be that reason.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Netherlands, Peru, Switzerland
