ABOUT ME

Hi,
I'm really into wildlife and I hope to pursue a career as a researcher in evolutionary biology, ecology and perception. I'm currently doing a PhD in sweet taste perception in early branching birds. I'm an easy going person.
I'm a pescetarian(eat fish not meat). I like to try and experience new things as often as possible. I like to think I'm open minded but with a critical and skeptical perspective.
I love martial arts, stemming from an origin of being generally rubbish at most ball and team sports. I've been training in a style of ju jitsu for quite a few years now and I still look forward to every session.
I spent quite a few years in Manchester and often feel like that was more my home than my actual home.
I hope to live in Italy one day.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some couchsurfing experience in NW France and I loved it. But my best experience has to be spending 11 days in Tromso across three different hosts when I was there for a course. Got to meet some awesome people and get a great feel for northern Norway.

Interests

Biology, wildlife, Jiu Jitsu, Muay thai kickboxing, Music, Hiking, learning, reading. I love to cook - definitely one of my biggest procrastination's from doing work.

Music, Movies, and Books

A few of my favourite movies include: The Boondock Saints, Groundhog Day and the secret in their eyes.
I like most types of music, but at the moment I'm really in to downtempo, electro swing/jazz. I also often listen to a lot of classical music
My favourite book is Dracula and my favourite series is the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. Some of the authors I love are: Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman and Conn Igguldenn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A field trip to the Isle of Mull, saw so much wildlife I'd never seen before like golden eagles on their nest.
