CURRENT MISSION I believe in what goes around comes around and having been around a lot I want to share what I have. ABOUT ME I am 69 and taught English at Noorderpoort College in Groningen. Rose Marie is 33 and she finished her studies in Nutrition. Laurens is 31 and was also a student at Noorderpoort College where he studied Recreation. - We don't watch much TV, but have cable with hundreds of channels! We've had surfers from all over stay with us! They were - Every One - fantastic! I love to cook so tried my best to keep them full!

I used to own a photo studio and still enjoy photographing people. - Rose Marie, Laurens and I love playing games. Gamewright games are the ones we play all the time: Duck Duck Bruce and Frog Juice are our current favorites. We also like Clue and Skip-bo; to be honest we love ALL games!! - I enjoy cooking and baking. My brownies are the best in the world.

Walkabout is my favorite movie of all time. I also like She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, Singing in the Rain, Barry Lyndon and Strangers on a Train. The Incredible String Band is my all time favorite. I like almost any music as long as it is well made. - I can listen to Keith Jarrett's "Koln Concert" forever; it's the single greatest musical performance ever. -- . My favorite book of all time is "Sirens of Titan", by Kurt Vonnegut, who is my favorite "serious" author. For "light reading" nothing beats Clive Cussler novels - but just the Dirk Pitt ones.

At the height of the Cold War I washed out of my camping site on Vancouver Island during a typhoon and spent a week on board a Russian ship that took me in. I also met President Johnson (LBJ) and Jack Nicholson while going to the bathroom.

I can certainly teach English and photography having done both for years for a living. I am also an excellent cook and am willing to show how to make a great meal. - I'd like to learn how to better organize rooms in the house and how to make the back yard look better. Laurens would like help with the guitar --- he has played the recorder for over a decade so can teach that. Rose Marie can help out with any questions about diet and nutrition.
