About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go places, literally :-)

ABOUT ME

Me? The long and short of it is, I love to travel. No, not the run-off-the-mill package tours that take you to some monument to do that usual get off the bus-snap a pic-get back on the bus routine. I want to see the (real) world, soak up the (real) culture, meet (and keep in touch with) (real) folks from all around the globe, and taste the (real) cuisine! Thanks to my travels, my facebook friend list has been growing so quickly - and I want to keep it that way.

My day job is a first-year intern at the university hospital. Very busy, long hours, lousy pay. The moment I can get time off I jump on the plane and jet set to any random place I can think of. However, if any of you are in town please drop me a line and I will show you the real Singapore.

PHILOSOPHY

Spontaniety. Met a guy at a hostel one night, the next day we were traveling together. How awesome is that?

To be young at heart is the most important thing to me. I hung out with a 70-something year old couple when I was in Avignon and boy did we have fun!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've recently couchsurfed and it was an amazing experience! I live with my parents at the moment so can only host on a sporadic basis, but hope to be more involved in hosting when I finally get a place of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hands down amazing! The great thing about couchsurfing is doing the things and meeting the people that a regular tourist would otherwise not be able to.

Interests

1. Travel, seeing the real world and not some stuffy touristy spots. Of course the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty has gotta be on everyone's itinerary, but beyond that I want to soak up the real thing.

2. Tasting cuisines and wines :-)

3. Local culture, architecture etc.

4. Nature! Love places of great natural beauty

Music, Movies, and Books

Call me kiddy if you wish but I like Harry Potter. And I think Hermione is cute ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many to name! But climbing odae-san near the North Korean border and looking at the soldiers across the border certainly qualifies. Felt like an FBI agent!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach CPR! LOL

But seriously, I want to learn about people's culture and share my own. First stop, to the local seafood restaurant for some amazing chilli crab.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An insight into life. Connections with different cultures.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
