I'm an Estonian currently residing in Brooklyn, NY where I work for TED and spend most of my free time planning for the next adventure.

Non-professionally, I tend to end up at art + tech + VR meetups, apartment plays, Prospect Park, upstate forests, Nitehawk Cinema, the Film Forum, rooftops, yoga/meditation classes, planes to various destinations, and the occasional all-night dance marathon.

I love everything that has to do with the ocean, especially diving and sailing. I recently tried surfing and will probably be attempting to do more of it.

I also try to volunteer and mentor when I can, whether it's cleaning up Prospect Park or helping out an art collective.

Books:
Douglas Adams, Jack Kerouac, Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, Douglas Coupland + a whole lot of nonfiction. I didn't make it through Infinite Jest, but I do appreciate David Foster Wallace. Love the Talk of the Day section of the New Yorker.

Movies
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Taxi Driver, Woody Allen, Kurosawa, Dirty Dancing (classic!), Blade Runner, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Sidewalls, Hackers, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Jaws, A Clockwork Orange, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Dr Strangelove, Princess Mononoke.

Music:
It's important. These days, I listen to almost everything, whether it's jazz, minimal techno, blues, opera or classical. I went to music school for piano, sang in a couple of choirs, had a brief metal/industrial stint, played keyboards in a drum'n'bass band, and had a radio show in college. Recently I've been listening to a lot of deep house. We'll probably have some musical overlap. Boards of Canada, Autechre, Glenn Gould, Seu Jorge and Depeche Mode are some of the favorites I can think of this second.
