CURRENT MISSION

My mission is to circle the globe. I am currently on month one of 6. I am travelling alone and truly enjoy meeting people of the countries I am visiting.

ABOUT ME

I am 50 years old. I come from the midwest of America. I live in a beautiful wooded college town on the west coast of US. I have a partner of 16 years. I love to swim, bicycle, eat new foods, talk to new people, see ancient sites, learn about culture, art and architecture.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in kindness and giving the benefit of the doubt. I sometimes feel as if I am the fool card from the tarot deck the guy who is so busy looking at all the sites he is about to step off the cliff. It is a blessing and a curse.

Total movie buff. I write reviews for my friends. I am totally judgemental about film and really prefer art film and drama over special effects

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked down into the Grand Canyon on a day trip with a friend. At the bottom it was very hot. While we were there a thunderstorm came through. It was extremely powerful and tore trees from the roots. The temperature dropped dramatically. We luckily found a guy who let us huddle under his canopy. We were shivering and miserable but the weather broke and we had to hike out so up we went. The entire canyon had changed color. From dry dusty pales to rich greens and reds. As we crested the top of the ridge the sun was setting with amazing color.
