About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Being myself by expressing my potential. Keeping myself whole in a fragmented world.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Vicenza, Italy. I have lived, worked, and traveled in several countries so far. In August 2010, I left my country (Italy) (again!), got divorced, got a new job, and I moved back to Colorado, USA, for good, to begin a new existence. I have been rebuilding my life from zero since then.
I started from my work, one of my passions. I am an international business professional, committed to the cultural side of business, who lives between the corporate business environment and academia. I consult in business (cross-cultural training, organizational culture, I also work as a coach and a cultural business mediator).
I am an open, sociable, and outgoing person. I love to meet new people and learn about their lives, cultures, and places. I love to joke and laugh about things in general. I am an ambassador of positivism, pioneer of change, and a life long learner. I am driven and dedicated to genuine and good things in my life. I value faith, love, courage first of all and I also work a lot on integrity, wholeness, authenticity, creativity. I keep myself in shape by running, swimming, biking, hiking, and working out at the gym. At the moment. I am recovering from a bad injury though :-( I love playing table tennis and I would like to learn playing golf one day.
On a more personal level, I started a healing path by working with a couple of different people on my emotions. I started to meditate and I have also changed my diet.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that our identity comes from the interaction of four different types of cultures (individual, family, country, and collective). We decide who we want to be and what to do and have, I call this individual responsibility. Through personal growth and self awareness we discover and become who we really are and who we were/are meant to be, to do, and to have. While we are doing and when we do this we are happy and in harmony with everything.
Wholeness, authenticity, self awareness, and creativity are the most important things for me. I believe in the importance of having my own vision, mission, values, goals, and strategies, that is what creates and shapes my reality every day.
I believe in something bigger and beyond me, which I call in different ways: God, Universe, Great Spirit, Lord, and Energy.
I believe we are made of four parts (body, mind, heart, and soul) and I believe in the harmony that comes from the balance of these four things.
Joy is our standard mood and state, my purpose is being happy by living my truth and becoming who I am by expressing my potential. I respect people, animals, plants, minerals and stones, and any other thing. I believe in reincarnation and in the fact the our ancestors speak to us. There are no coincidences, whoever or whatever we meet is on our path, everything happens for a reason. I let go something old every day and I accept something new every day. This is how I live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I had registered in 2010 but almost never used it. I had to travel back and forth from Europe to the US for immigration reasons for a few years and could not use it. I will need more time to write something for this section. I have experience with other organizations though. I can't wait to build more with couch surfing.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Yes, I went to Vancouver and stayed there a few days with a couch-surfer who lived almost in downtown. It was a very nice experience. He shared with all what he had and showed around some of the most traditional places on his motorcycle. He was very kind and had very good conversations. I stayed in Russia with two surfers in Saint Petersburg, it was absolutely great, these two girls were very nice and welcoming, I will always remember them. I met with surfer also in Riga, Latvia, she did not host me, we went to see an exhibit together. She told me many personal stories about her family, country, and culture. I was very grateful for that time. I had a surfer for dinner at my place in Colorado, USA. Great time conversing about life, food, and more.
Interests
My work gives me a lot of free time which I spend doing two things. One is learning foreign languages and cultures by studying, traveling, hosting, and hanging out with international people. The other one is studying acting and performing, which I do by taking acting classes with private coaches. I also started to work on my first screenplay. Since I have an eclectic personality, I have a lot of interests, such as "the 4 Ms": music, movies, mediation, and magic. One of the main things I love to do for fun is hanging out and going out with friends to talk about everything: life experiences, points of views, and ideas. I love doing this in front of a warm cup of tea, a glass of good wine, or great food. I love cooking and wine tasting. I would love to learn about art and classic music for now.

I love almost any type of music, hard rock is one of my favorite ones: Aerosmith, AC/DC, Van Halen, all the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Bruce Springsteen and Pink Floyd are special musicians to me.
Some special books for me, for a lot of different reasons, are: The Alchemist, Robin Hood, Reunion, A Whole New Mind, The Culture Code, Siddhartha, Does the Noise in My Head Bother You (Steven Tyler's auto biography), Jonathan Livingston Seagull, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 14 I went to study English in the UK on my own. When I was 19 I did an inter-rail experience in northern Europe with 3 friends of mine for a month two years in a row. When I was 21 I moved to Spain for a year and lived with 3 Spanish roommates. When I was 22, I crossed the Sahara desert in Morocco for 500 miles in two weeks by a Land Rover and I took the tea with the Berberian people of the desert. When I was 26 years old, I left Europe, where I lived and I went to live to an Indian reservation with a community of American Natives for 2 months.
When I was 32 years old I left my job and business in Italy and moved to Colorado to teach Italian language and culture to American students. When I was 35, I got divorced, tat changed my life in a very intense way, When I was 37 I went to Ireland in summer to teach acting to a group of 40 students in an Irish college and put together a show called "Slash and the Legend of the Golden Guitar". When I was 39, I went to Indonesia where I crossed the rain forest for a day and then met the general of the Indonesian Army and the Royal family's staff in Bali. The same year, I went to Iceland and had a hot bath with locals in a natural hot spring among amazing waterfalls and surreal geysers. I went to Russia and I took a photo of my shadow on the red square in Moscow. I also went to see the Panama Canal for the 100 years anniversary, we go to Mars today but we forget that we did some amazing things on earth! When I was I went to to Myanmar and lived for a week in a Buddhist monastery for a week to improve how to meditate from the monks.
I saw Bruce Springsteen in concert three times, the Pink Floyd once, and the Aerosmith three times between Europe and the USA.
