Overview
About Me
I live in Grant Park (Atlanta, GA) and I travel a lot for work as a consultant in IT. I am very passionate about my work, which allows me combine my skills of a geek with those of the business world. I am usually allowed an extended weekend, which is great for those sunny days in Atlanta when you need to start an early Friday happy hour on a park patio, or by a pool. Otherwise, I generally have more of a semi-serious demeanor and do not hold back a witty comment.
While I do not always have to be doing something, I prefer to not waste days with sloth; however even these deserve their own occurrences. I have only started traveling often, for leisure, in the past few years, but I love it and only want to do it more. I prefer locations that are rich in history and culture, and in fact mostly base future destinations on such.
If you're planning to stay in Atlanta, me and my roommate are both gay and we'd be happy to guide you to local spots, and maybe drop along for a drink.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None yet! When I travel, I've normally stayed in hostels, but I'd be great to get the perspective of locals to show a greater experience of a city or town. Unfortunately, I can't host right now because I often travel with work, but when I'm settled back at home for any length of time, I hope to be able to share the same.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music, I am a big fan of trance, classical, and opera. I know that could sound like a bit strange of a mix, but there actually are many similarities. Some of my favorite books include: 1984, The Art of Deception, Divine Comedy, The Jungle, Paradise Lost, Picture of Dorian Gray, and Siddhartha. I enjoy films that are a bit more dramatic, cerebral, and independent over those that are more “Hollywood.” Among the many that I enjoy: The City of Lost Children, Requiem for a Dream, The Cube, Dead Poets Society, and Taxi Driver.
Getting the experience of new cultures, food, and what the outdoors have to offer are the best!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being color blind... In short, trail signs should not be red. It's makes them very hard for us color blind folk to follow.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm just off of downtown (you could walk or bike to the capital) in Grant Park. It's a great area tucked into a neighborhood, giving it the best of both worlds. I'd be happy to share some of the tourist options that Atlanta has to offer, along with the more local experiences. I'm not too far from the Beltline, which is a great place to take a bike, stop for food, drinks, etc.
