2023 update. I am now In Sint Marteen. Finally a couch is available.

Keep in mind I do work a lot and sometimes I have no chance to answer quickly..

CURRENT MISSION
I am a globtrotter...I want to see world, I have a bucket list with 101 wishes, good part of them are places I want to visit.

I am a couchsurfer, and so far I only hosted, and I haven t been hosted, because first of all I want to learn from you. If you have been traveling in places where I haven t been, if you have studied things i haven t studied, I can learn from you. and you from me.

So if you are somebody that is just looking to have a free bed, please do not contact me.

The best people that I met during these years, teached me something and I teached them something, and we stayed for endless hours talking and talking.

I could say my first interests are: Cuban salsa, kizomba, the foreign languages, and wine...not necessarily in this order of course..
In my point of view, the most important thing about a journey, is not when you arrive, is every moment you are traveling..
I had a few guests, I had fun exchanging moments between a glass of wine and a laugh but..

Unfortunately a few Couchsurfer didn't exactley behaved like I wanted.
I had to remind myself that I am opening my house to strangers... It's all given and I Don t want anything in return. Just friendship and experience and connections.
But in the past this has been abused....

Therefore I have to put the following rules..some looks stupid crazy things.. but believe me ... that happened to me..

0. I am stressing about this rule that I have added lately because since I am open to host it happened a lot. If you book my house but you are not sure to come Because you will be hosted by somebody elses before, tell me you are flexible. More than once I have modified my days for people that never showed up.

1. since I work a lot I will give you a key. so you will be free 100%. If I am at work.. I am sorry, you have to wait for me when I finish to work to open the house the first time.

2. you don t have to, but it is nice to share some time together. it is not a free hotel.

3. my fridge is full always. I will be the first person telling you to eat what you want, but do not abuse..

4. Cleanness. I like it.

5. if you fall in love with some locals, you can sleep in their house, do not bring them in my house. If the situation persist (more than 1 night), log out of my stay, if anything bad will happen to you police will look for me and not for the stranger that kidnap you....

6. Do not put yourself in trouble. you are my guest, i don't want to explain the police that in the morning who were you hanging with the previous night... people respect me in town, under my roof you are safe, once you go under somebody else wings.. I don't feel responsible anymore..

7. washing machine works,, you can sure do one or two washing machine... not 20...

8. AC costs money.. don t leave the window or the door open.. (yeah that happened)

9. internet: it works and it is fast. but remind that when I am home i like to play music, cook, make phone calls.. if you need to work on line for 9 hours.. this is not the right spot...there is a good cafe open daily, their internet works too..

10. I hope you are not allergic to animals. i have a cutie kitten and two cute dogs. All of them love people, the dogs will jump on you and the cat will probably try to sleep with you once...

11. If I don't reply to your first message, maybe I am coming from a difficult week...please understand. once one random guy with a cat in the profile picture got upset because I didn't reply.
I laugh at first, and after I explained to him that I will never host somebody with a cat in the profile picture...
(he was also kinda creepy..)

12. No kids.. please... nothing against.. kids are cute, but a one year old that screams and cry 7 am in the morning.. no thank you.. I do have a job and I need to sleep. (that happened too)

13. Politics. If you want to speak about politics and religions I have 2 strong rules. Religions (plural) exists because with one religion only we would have no wars going on (who kills his own brother?) and Yes Palestine should be free. Other than that we can speak about anything...

I could keep writing forever all kind of things... just use common sense...

if you need something. ask for it
if you like somebody. Tell him.. (or her)
if you dream about something.. go for it..
Life is simple. People just makes it complicated..

Read all the rules and start your message with "is 5 o clock somewhere, let's get a beer" and I will understand you actually went until the end of the chapter...
