Overview
About Me
Hello there! I am a 27 year old native New Yorker who is living in Edinburgh, Scotland while I'm in graduate school. I'm completing a Master's degree in International Relations, and really love to learn about the world as much from travel and personal interaction as from a classroom. I love to meet new people and talk about history, politics, philosophy, music, art, etc.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Living in the UK is my first time in Europe! I'm new to traveling solo, and thought Couchsurfing would be a good way to meet likeminded travelers, who can help to give me local advice while I'm wandering. I really do love to meet new people and hear about the world from their perspectives, and couchsurfers seem like my kind of people.
Interests
I study politics and philosophy, so I am very interested in those subjects academically. Outside of that, I really enjoy live music of all kinds, and even play a few instruments myself. I enjoy both city life and the outdoors, and do enjoy a pub with good friends, though I'm not a fan of clubs.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, but I mostly listen to folk and indie.
I love movies that make me cry/think - the important ones.
I really enjoy reading anything I can get my hands on from young adult dystopian fiction to classical literature to philosophy to history.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling in Japan, I found the "Key to Enlightenment" at Zenko-ji Temple! It's an interesting, and fairly entertaining, story that I would be happy to tell.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've been told I'm a great conversation partner, and love to tell stories.
