Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Gloria :)
Something about me: I like making art (drawing, painting, videomaking), travelling, learning about cultures and languages, and meeting new people... And I do it all mostly improvising and enjoying the unexpected results 😁
I'm currently studying in a very special college called CICD, close to Hull (UK), and in January I'll go to Mozambique to volunteer for 6 months: can't waaaaittt 😍
The trips I'm most proud of are the 10 months in Ahmedabad (India) and the 10 months in Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
I've also been some months in the Czech Republic, Germany and the Dominican Republic 💖
I studied in an Art school, and then picked Political Science, International Relations and Human Rights at the University of Padua.
That's mostly it, can't wait to know about you in person! 😊
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect with awesome people from different Countries and enthusiastic travellers!
I love the idea of being hosted by locals when visiting a new place, as it's a very valuable insight of the city and culture, and also I'm amazed by the big presence of trust and openness and sharing which are whithin the Couchsurfing experience.
I very hardly will be able to host somebody at this moment, but I'd love to meet travellers who are hanging around here :)

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
I hardly stick to an artist and know all his/her songs, also, my music taste changes quite often... generally I go a lot with the classics.
Here are some artists I like:
- ENG: Queen, Billy Joel, AC/DC, Bruno Mars, BEP, Saint Motel, Mika, Fun, and many more...
- ITA/VENETIAN: Zucchero, Edoardo Bennato, Mannarino, Max Gazzè, il primo Jovanotti, Ligabue, Fabri Fibra, Los Massadores, Rumatera, and a few more
- OTHER: Stromae, Culcha Candela, Ada Milea
MOVIES
Not a big movies fan actually, sorry for the disappointment (if you're not disappointed for the previous sentence, you'll probably be for the next one). I've never watched The Lord of The Rings, nor Star Wars, nor the Hunger Games, nor the one you're thinking about right now and want to tell me something about..
BUT, I do have seen:
- most of the Disney animation movies
- the whole Harry Potter saga
- Mamma Mia (both of them), Dirty Dancing, Les Miserables, and a couple other musicals
- many Bud Spencer and Terence Hill movies (that is the good stuff)
- Rushmore and The Darjeeling Limited by Wes Anderson (which I surprisingly enjoyed)
BOOKS
- I loved:
Barney's Version
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Good Omens
- currently reading: On the Road by Jack Kerouac
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Living 10 months in India when I was 17 y/o (AFS Exchange Student program) and other 10 months in Romania (European Voluntary Service).
- Some hitch-hiking trips here and there in Eastern Europe
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you whatever you're curious to know about my experiences in India and Romania, and my life in Italy! I can teach you some italian language (not to cook, though... really, I'm very bad at that!), and a bit of art history, maybe! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I said, I'm the exact contrary of a good cook, but if you want to cook something together I'll be happy to help and try not to mess it up! I can offer a lot of enthusiasm and curiosity, bad jokes, experiences to share, and also ears to listen to you!
