Overview
About Me
Designer by profession, artist at heart, and traveler on the road. I am always up for trying new things, learning about different cultures, and sharing my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveled alone for two months in Europe:
Barcelona
Toulouse
Marseille
Nice
Paris
Basel (and Alsace)
Amsterdam
Cardiff (the vale of glamorgan)
Lisbon
Part of my trip was simply for self development: I want to learn how other people live their lives and be inspired by their rigorous energy to persevere, chase dreams, fail and succeed. The other part is an arts and design investigation, to see what other ways is art integrated into life.
I believe the local experience is the best experience, and when I have a place of my own to share with others, I certainly would love for people to bring their life story and energy into mine! Live, love learn
Interests
Keep inspiration in the stars above, and passion burning in your heart.
I believe people must be inspired and have passion daily in order to truly live a fulfilling life.
Six things I couldn't live without:
Passion- what drives you to wake up in the morning and put your soul into your work
Dreams- mine is to swim with whales
Inspiration- having open heart and eyes to the wonders of the earth
Notebook- needed for clarity and brain dumps
Music- acoustic in the mornings and heavy bass at night

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you anything about art and design- traditional bookbinding; painting in acrylics, watercolor, digitally; design theories and ethics; papercrafts like paper folding; how to make a chair out of cardboard that will hold 200lbs;
I can also share my culture: I'm Chinese-Vietnamese-American, so I have a plethora of perspectives to share with you :)
I love to learn about other cultures and ways of living, eating, doing, caring, working
